Let me take you to the mountain
The ski resort:
Wagrain is placed centrally in the skiing area Salzburger Sportwelt and your ski pass gives you access to more than 350 km of slopes distributed over 7 areas. Snehulen is placed next to the slopes of Wagrain which gives direct access to more than 120 km of connected slopes. More than 85% of these are covered by a snow guarantee due to snow cannons. Not all the areas of Salzburger Sportwelt are connected by lifts, but ski busses are departing regularly just outside the front door and particularly Flachauwinkl-Kleinarl is worth a visit if one is interest in one of the best funpacks in Austria. Salzburger Sportwelt is furthermore a part of Ski Amadé which is Austrias largest skiing network. See more at skiamade.com.
Salzburger Sportwelt covers a huge area so there is something for every ski taste.
For the experienced, try Hermann Maier World Cup slope in Flachau
For beginners and kids, try Wagrainis Winterworld with daily activities.
For the adventurous, try absolut snowpark in Flachhauwink-Kleinarl.
For the view, take the new G-link connecting the two mountains on either side of Wagrain which provides a panoramic view of the valley from an elevation of 200 meter.
For the family, try a daytrip across the mountains to St. Johann-Alpendorf.
At snow-space.com you will find more information about the current weather, upcoming events on the mountains, and live pictures from the webcams.
The après-ski resort:
There are endless options for eating and drinking everywhere in Wagrain. Along most slopes are cozy ``alms’’ that serve hot food and a variety of beverages when the slopes are open. Two particularly good places for après-ski are Kuhstall and Kühberg Alm where the latter has live music multiple times a week. Restaurants are plentiful in Wagrain and the town’s official website maintains a list of current restaurants here.
